Dave’s Fruit & Veggie CSA
Looking for fresh, local, certified organic vegetables, fruits, and cut flowers this season in the Mad River Valley of Vermont?
Then come to Hartshorn’s Santa Davida farm.
What’s different about Dave’s CSA than all the others I know about?
- You get to choose what you buy instead of the farmers deciding what you get.
- There are no assigned pick up times. Come to the farm stand, pick your own, or the Waitsfield Farmer’s market.
- You decide how much you want to spend instead of a predetermined share price.
- It’s Certified Organic and local, so it’s the healthiest food available.
Call Dave’s cell: 802-279-8054, or me (Amy’s) cell: 802-922-1832, or the farm at 802-496-3081, for more information.
Or just send your check to Hartshorn’s Farm, P.O. Box 1785, Waitsfield, VT 05673
The farm is located on Route 100 in Waitsfield, VT
(Next to the 1824 House Inn)

Hi Bill,
One of the unique and cool things about Dave’s CSA, unlike any other I’ve seen, is that you determine how much you want to spend. I’ve researched other area farm’s and their CSA’s to compare. They charge between $600-$700 for a CSA share to feed a family of 4, and they are not certified organic as Dave’s farm is.
So, perhaps you might start with $500 and you can always add more money to your CSA account if you run out before the season is over.
You also get to choose what you spend your CSA dollars on. All the other CSA’s that I’ve seen don’t allow this. The farmers usually select what you get each week. Dave lets you pick what you want. If you want to spend some CSA dollars on pick your own strawberries, blueberries or raspberries, you can. Want to shop at the farm stand or the farmer’s market, you have that choice.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Checks can be sent to: Hartshorn Farm, P.O. Box 1785, Waitsfield, VT 05673.
Take care,
Amy
